New HESA data shows strong outcomes for Environmental Science graduates

News Graduate Student

Accredited official statistics published by HESA (the Higher Education Statistics Agency – part of Jisc) show that 87% of graduates are in paid employment or further study 15 months after graduation, despite a 2% drop in full-time graduate employment and wider economic pressures.

Environmental Science, Geography, and Earth studies remain strong degree choices, with graduates experiencing higher full-time employment and lower unemployment than the overall average. Among surveyed graduates, 76% are employed, and 73% hold highly-skilled roles. Science graduates fare even better, with 81% employed in highly-skilled positions compared to 69% for non-science graduates. A detailed display of this data is available on the HESA website.
