UK biodiversity policy & delivering ecology at the local level: Squaring the oblong

Trying to manage, enhance and protect biodiversity at a local level can sometimes conflict with the expectations of national and regional policy, and across a range of topics and priorities. However, we can work within such a framework to overcome these challenges and hopefully wrestle out the best deal for nature if we're willing to do it.
This webinar has been organised with the Association of Local Government Ecologists (ALGE) to provide an update on the current state of policy, potential future developments, and what it means for local ecology.
Our speaker
Dr Iain Boulton is the Biodiversity and Environmental Compliance Manager at the London Borough of Lambeth and has led on the protection and enhancement of biodiversity within the borough, through enacting national, regional and local policies and good practice for over 25 years.
He is also Vice-Chair of the Association of Local Government Ecologists (ALGE) and a member of the London Boroughs Biodiversity Forum (LBBF) which represents all of the 33 boroughs in terms of ecology and nature conservation.
