CSci Accelerated

Thursday, 25 September 2025 - 9:15am to 6:00pm
Online

The CSci Accelerated workshop is for professionals who meet the criteria for Chartered Scientist. The aim of the workshop is to put all candidates through the full application process in one rewarding day.

During the morning workshop, candidates will attend an online workshop and be advised on cross-referencing their long-form CV and editing their report. The afternoon will be spent writing and finalising the report before it is submitted for assessment. Should it be required, some candidates may be invited to a Professional Review Interview (PRI). Should an interview be required, it will be conducted online within two weeks of the workshop. To achieve the Chartered Scientist registration candidates will be asked to demonstrate knowledge of sustainable practice and achievements within the five key competencies and subsets.

Approval of the report and successful completion of the interview (where necessary), will lead to the applicant being awarded Chartered Scientists status. Successful candidates will be entitled to use the designation Chartered Scientist and the post-nominal CSci.

Over 350 candidates have already been through an IES Chartership workshop and have provided consistently positive feedback: “The presentation was extremely clear and helpful, highlighting areas where there could be different approaches or ambiguities. [The workshop coordinator] was able to engage all the candidates from our disparate disciplines, ensuring we all understood the implications of each answer and areas of possible overlap.”

Attend one of our workshops and become a Chartered Scientist through the most rewarding and rigorous route.
