Natural Capital Finance & Investment Conference
Nature-based finance is now firmly on the agenda for Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as further afield. The fourth Natural Capital Finance & Investment Conference will bring you the full picture from the fast-emerging market and showcase the very best of the project pipeline from around the UK.
This event is run by the Ecosystems Knowledge Network, a non-profit that specialises in equipping people to deliver wellbeing and prosperity through a healthy natural environment. This year’s online conference will be fully interactive and offers networking opportunities in the specialist field of natural capital finance and investment. The programme is designed for finance, environmental and government professionals.
Early bird tickets (before 24th September) are £35 per person if paying by credit or debit card.
It is an event where professionals in financial services can engage alongside those directly involved in the stewardship of land, water and nature. The event includes a keynote speech by Dr Rhian Mari Thomas OBE, Chief Executive of the Green Finance Institute.
Delegates will gain insight into:
- The opportunity that natural capital investment offers;
- The challenges of growing the market;
- 'Real-life' case studies and different finance models.
The growth of natural capital
Nature-based finance has a central role to play in our response to the dual biodiversity and climate crises, with the potential to unlock much needed finance to restore nature’s balance and ability to provide vital ecosystem services for the future. With the UN’s Biodiversity Conference COP15 and Climate Summit COP26 taking place in coming weeks, the UN is actively promoting the use of natural capital measures alongside GDP.
The UK is emerging as a leader in nature-based finance, heralded by initiatives such as the Scottish Conservation Finance Project and the Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund for England. Join us to see nature-based finance in action across the UK and understand how you can get involved.
