Land Condition

Book your place at the SiLC Annual Forum 2026 - Exploring Air, Land and Water

The SiLC Annual Forum 2026 will take place virtually on Thursday 26th March, 9:30am–1:30pm, bringing together leading experts from across the contaminated land and brownfield sector for a focused morning of technical insight, cross-disciplinary discussion, and practical learning.

Designed for consultants, regulators, contractors, analysts and specialists working in land condition and environmental risk, the Annual Forum continues to be one of the sector’s most valuable knowledge-sharing events.

Chaired by Louise Beale (Chair of the SiLC PTP) of SLR Consulting, the 2026 forum will guide attendees through a structured programme built around three core themes: Air, Land and Water.

Under each theme, the programme will:

  • Examine a practical case study
  • Review recent technical guidance or regulatory approaches
  • Look ahead to future developments and innovation, highlighting what practitioners should be watching for next
  • This structure ensures that each topic moves from real-world application, through current best practice, and into forward-looking sector intelligence. This year’s speaker panel reflects the breadth of expertise needed to address today’s land condition challenges. (Speaker details available on the SiLC Website)

Regulator Panel Discussion

A panel on “The Value of Multiple Disciplines Working Together” will explore how collaboration improves brownfield regulation and delivery. The session is chaired by David Carr of Dacorum Borough Council, with regulator representatives from across England, Scotland and Wales. The panel will discuss recurring site challenges, current initiatives, and how multidisciplinary working strengthens outcomes, followed by audience Q&A.
