2026 SocEnv Awards – Nominations now open!
Could you be recognised in 2026 for your outstanding environmental work?
Do you know a deserving IES member who has recently gone above and beyond to protect or enhance the environment?
The Society for the Environment (SocEnv) is now welcoming nominations for the 2026 edition of the prestigious SocEnv Awards. These awards recognise outstanding individuals who have innovated, inspired, and gone beyond what’s expected in their most recent work to protect, preserve, or enhance the environment.
There are two prestigious awards up for grabs:
- 2026 Environmental Professional of the Year
- 2026 Rising Star
This is an opportunity to inspire future generations, acknowledge the expertise of your peers, and remind each other of our shared mission to make a positive impact on the environment every day.
In 2025, two outstanding Chartered Environmentalists were honoured as Environmental Professional of the Year: IES member Robbie Epsom CEnv, and Lukas Howell CEnv.
Robbie said, “It’s an honour to be acknowledged by the very body that supports and validates my professional journey. It reinforces the value of the rigorous path to chartership and the standards we uphold…While individual recognition is appreciated, any achievement in sustainability is fundamentally a collaborative effort... Thank you again for this recognition, for the reinforcement and thank you for this motivational boost to keep pushing forward.”
The 2024 Environmental Professional of the Year was another IES member, Adrian Mill CEnv. Adrian says “I'm proud to tell anyone who'll listen that I have won the award... It has already resulted in me being invited to speak at more conferences, which by consequence helps to raise the profile of my companies as well as the environmental causes that I am passionate about.”
