Become a STEM ambassador

2018 is the Year of Engineering so there is no better time to become a STEM ambassador. STEM Ambassadors are volunteers from a wide range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related jobs and disciplines across the UK, that offer their time and enthusiasm to help bring STEM subjects to life and demonstrate the value of them in life and careers.

Becoming a STEM ambassador is easy and benefits everyone. Students get the opportunity to experience the real world applications of STEM subjects, hopefully cementing or increasing their enthusiasm for STEM subjects. Ambassadors gain valuable skills from the challenges associated with interacting with a younger demographic, with the bonus of providing that inspiration for the the next generation of environmental scientists.

Environmental Sciences are naturally multidisciplinary, encompassing all aspects of STEM in the work that environmentalists do. The opportunity to foster the next generation of environmental scientists is not to be missed and with British Science Week just around the corner, there is no excuse not to sign up now.
