Introducing the new website

The IES is excited to announce the launch of its new website. The project office have invested significant time in developing a sector-leading website that is easy to use and provides cutting edge design, based around the needs of the IES members. With improvements throughout, some of the new features include:

  • Intuitive navigation
  • Clearer information on membership grades, information for members and CPD
  • Clear separation of different areas of our work, i.e. reports, journal, video
  • Integration with our Twitter account, Youtube channel and Flickr stream
  • Refreshed logo design
  • Re-design to fit with the modernisation of our journal and report designs
  • Profiles of staff, trustees and members
  • Specific streams for each member grade, for example the student page only shows news, jobs and resources of interest to students

The website is currently in a beta version (meaning that it is still being tested and pages added) so please bear with us while we sort out any slight hiccups. We welcome your feedback at any time. At the moment all the content is available to all users but soon certain content will be restricted to members only. There is much more content that we will be adding over the coming months including:

  • Full journal and presentation archive
  • Membership logins so members can update their details and manage their memberships online
  • Comment sections for members under news stories, journal and reports
  • Expanded jobs board
  • The ability to view content by sector, for example a land contamination professional could just see content relating to their profession
  • Mobile site
