Environmental Deregulation: Letter from the Environmental Policy Forum
For a very brief period of time in late 2022, Liz Truss was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. During that period, she set out a range of policies which collectively created a risk of regression on environmental commitments.
Responding to the development, the Environmental Policy Forum (EPF) teamed up to write a letter to the new Prime Minister, urging a more cautious approach that would allow her to deliver her objectives without putting nature at risk.
Before the EPF received a response to the letter, Truss stood down as Prime Minister for unrelated reasons.
