Marine & Coastal Science Community Meeting
Free event, open to IES members only
Join us for the first Marine & Coastal Science Community meeting! This interactive session will give you the chance to connect with fellow environmental professionals working in marine and coastal science, and find out more about opportunities in the Community.
The Marine & Coastal Science Community supports collaboration to conserve and restore the marine and coastal environment, helping members to access knowledge, resources and development opportunities.
Community meetings provide an opportunity for marine and coastal science professionals within our membership to steer services for their specialism, discuss topical issues in the sector, and network. All IES members working in marine and coastal science with an interest in contributing to Community activities are welcome to join us for this meeting.
The agenda will include:
- An introduction from our Community Chair, Sian Davies-Vollum
- Updates on the Community's work since the launch of Turning the Tide
- The chance to feed into plans for the rest of 2026
- An opportunity to find out more about vacancies on the Community Steering Group— these positions will be advertised in the second half of February, so watch this space!
If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to contribute to the discussion, please submit comments via email to Amy Bond (communities@the-ies.org).
