Soil Resource (Management) Plans: The Missing Link
This webinar is free and open to all.
The desire to recycle soils and soil-making materials on development sites is often hampered by an incomplete understanding of the nature of the resource and by the application of waste management regulations to these materials.
The Soil Resource (Management) Plan should be a cross-profession assessment of the extent and quality of soils and soil-making materials. This should inform site engineering as well as landscape architecture, with the goal to minimise the import and export of materials and to maximise sustainability.
The presentation will examine the considerations and steps in the formulation of the SRMP illustrated by the regeneration of a large brownfield site in the northwest of England.
This webinar is free and open to all.
