Why join the Scheme?

As an IES Student Ambassador, you will:

  • Build skills in communication, leadership, and event management.
  • Gain professional experience that looks great on your CV.
  • Network with students, academics, and industry professionals worldwide.

What you’ll do

The role is flexible - you can shape it to your strengths and interests.

As an Ambassador, you will:

  • Represent the IES at your university.
  • Promote environmental action and student membership.
  • Run or host IES events on campus.
  • Share opportunities and inspire your peers.
  • Contribute to IES social media and student pages.
  • Sit in on CEDHE committee meetings, influencing the future of environmental education.

  • Term: 13 months (Nov 2026 – Dec 2027, including handover period).
  • Deadline: midnight, Friday 30th October 2026.

You must be an existing Student Member (sign up form) of the IES to sign up to be an IES Student Ambassador.

Become an IES Student Ambassador!
The IES Student Ambassador Scheme is an exciting opportunity for up to two students from each of our accredited institutions to represent the IES at their university and help champion the student voice. As an IES Student Ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow students, share their views and experiences, promote the IES within your university, and play an active role in shaping the student community.
