PFAS litigation and laboratory analysis
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have emerged as one of the most significant environmental and public health challenges of recent decades, driving a rapid increase in regulatory scrutiny and litigation worldwide.
A key focus of this presentation is the role of laboratory analysis in supporting PFAS investigations and legal proceedings. The webinar examines current analytical methodologies, sampling considerations, data quality requirements and testing limitations. Our speaker, Geraint Williams, also provides details of recent industry-led efforts to improve standardisation and consistency in PFAS analysis, interpretation and reporting.
Through practical examples, Geraint provides insights into the intersection of environmental science and law, demonstrating how high-quality laboratory analysis can support informed decision-making, strengthen technical evidence and facilitate the effective resolution of PFAS-related disputes.
