Welcome to Steve Barclay: Letter from the Environmental Policy Forum

Towards the end of 2023, Steve Barclay was appointed as Environment Secretary.

The moment marked a key turning point in the Government's agenda, with many outstanding policy documents still expected for the environment, including the Land Use Framework and delivery details on policies like Biodiversity Net Gain.

With so much at stake, the Environmental Policy Forum (EPF) wrote a letter, welcoming the new Secretary of State and setting out priority recommendations. The IES supported and signed the letter.
