Standard process for designing and implementing Biodiversity Net Gain: British Standards
In 2020, the UK was in the process of considering legislation which would become the Environment Act 2021. That process also led to the creation of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
The British Standards Institution (BSI) took the time to produce a standard on the process for designing and implementing Biodiversity Net Gain, which the IES contributed towards. Some of our high-level comments on the draft standard are included here.
