When the worst happens: A practical exercise in managing land contamination incidents
Free and open only to NCLOG members.
NCLOG is hosting an online workshop to work through a fictionalised case study of a ‘land contamination incident’.
Taking a break from the planning work, you will be put in the role of the CLO who suddenly finds themselves at the centre of a fast-developing situation. We will hear from a number of speakers, including from the UK Health Security Agency, a former MP and an emergency planning lead, who will outline their role when working with local authorities, and share experience from some situations they have been involved in.
A fictionalised scenario will be presented to provide the basis of discussions, and you will work with other CLOs and one of our speakers to deal with common challenges that CLOs often face in these situations.
Whether you’re an experienced CLO with advice to share, or relatively new to the role, we hope that working through an exercise in a safe space will allow you to develop some skills and experience perhaps before the next ‘real’ event. We will wrap up by sharing our findings and hopefully providing CLOs with improved confidence should the worst happen.
This event is free to attend and open only to NCLOG members.
Speaker information coming soon.
