The IES Environmental Policy Implementation Community (EPIC), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Community and the Association of Local Government Ecologists (ALGE) are running a BNG in Practice Event Series over the course of 2025, following the publication of their BNG in Practice Report in Febuary.
Drawing on insights from over 200 practitioners gathered through survey, workshop and interview data, the report provides a comprehensive analysis of the challenges faced in the implementation of mandatory BNG one year after its introduction and makes over 20 recommendations to government, delivery organisations, and supporting bodies.
The BNG in Practice Event Series will explore some of the recommendations and areas of the report in more detail, through a variety of webinars, workshops and panel discussions across 2025.
