Levelling-Up & Regeneration Bill: Environmental Policy Forum response
In 2023, the Levelling-Up & Regeneration Act (LURA) proposed to reform local environmental policy, including planning policy, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs).
With many IES Members working in the built environment or engaging with linked processes, the Institution teamed up with colleagues in the Environmental Policy Forum (EPF), supporting this joint response to the consultation.
We also submitted our own response to the consultation, reflecting the views of IES members.

The Environmental Policy Forum is a coalition of professional bodies, including the IES, promoting environmental sustainability and resilience for the public benefit. It supports better policy decisions through joint letters and policy positions.
