Tuesday, 18 November 2014 - 6:00pm
RCOG, London, NW1 4RG

The Burntwood Lecture, which takes place in November of each year, provides an opportunity for an eminent speaker to talk on a current, critical and often controversial environmental theme.

University of Oxford's Professor Steve Rayner will be our keynote speaker this year.

Rethinking Environmental Problems
The lecture will explore why and how we should change the way we think about contemporary environmental challenges if we are to get better traction on them. Steve shall talk about how we formulate problems, the challenges of accessing the uncomfortable, the role of technology and the potential of "clumsy" solutions.

The invited audience, numbering around 150, are persons of true significance in the environmental field from the professions, universities and government.

Tickets are available for free for IES members.  You can reserve a ticket by emailing Emma Fell.

Registration is from 18.00 with refreshments served before and after the lecture which will commence at approximately 19:00. The event is set to finish by 22:00.

Address: RCOG 27 Sussex Place, Regent's Park, London, NW1 4RG. Directions to the venue can be found on the  RCOG's website.
