Adam Donnan

Chief Executive Officer

Adam's role includes creating strategy for the organisation, acting as an external representative and directing and controlling key resources. He was Vice President of ENEP (2013-16), non-Executive Director of Change Agents UK (2011-16) and a member of the Project Management Group of PP4SD (2007-16). He has been Treasurer of CHES since 2007. He has a bold vision of the way modern professional bodies should operate towards the public good and is constantly striving for innovation in the way the IES delivers its membership services. He was the 2014 Young Leader of the Year at the Association Awards UK. He holds a MBA and a BA in History.

Emma Fell

Marketing & Events Manager

Emma has joined the IES team to coordinate our marketing and to further develop the frequency of the events we hold. In particular she will be focusing on increasing the number of local events that we hold through our regional groups. Emma has experience of marketing for music organisations and food markets. She holds a BA in Philosophy.

Robert Ashcroft

Publications & Policy Officer

Robert is responsible for IES publications, including editing the house journal environmental SCIENTIST and producing a range of web content and reports. As policy officer he also works to represent the views of members to policy makers and promote the use of environmental science in decision making.  He holds a BA in Geography from Cambridge University and an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from Oxford University. Before joining the IES team Robert worked as a researcher focusing on biodiversity and nature conservation at the Institute for European Environmental Policy.

Chloe Fletcher

Office Administrator

Chloe joined the IES team in September 2015 to offer additional administrative support to our membership services. She has a Mathematics BSc from UCL and is currently undertaking a part-time MSc in Environmental Modelling also at UCL. She job shares with Laura Clark

Laura Clark

Office Administrator

Laura joined the IES in December 2015 to help with administrative support for our membership, events and publications. She is currently undertaking a part-time MA in Postcolonial Culture & Global Policy at Goldsmiths. She job shares with Chloe Fletcher.

Dominic Sheldon

Researcher

Dominic has joined the staff on a part time basis to assist with our publications portfolio. He recently graduated from an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College. He also has a BSc in Environmental Sciences from UEA, having specialised in the communication and public perception of climate change. He has recently completed an internship at the UNFCCC Secretariat and has previously worked at the Department of Energy and Climate Change and the Solar Energy Industries Association in Washington, DC and University of Maine. This is his second stint at the IES having previously worked as a Research Intern in 2014.

Kate Saker

Graphic Designer (contractor)

Kate is an accomplished designer with over 15 years experience in print, digital, social media, packaging and exhibition design. She has a wealth of client experience encompassing the arts, professional services and large international brands such as Cunard, Royal Mail, World Gold Council, Procter and Gamble and Unilever. Kate started her career in one of London's top design agencies and now runs her own boutique design agency. She has a BA in Design and Media. In her spare time she loves to travel and discover new places and people to meet.
