What is associate membership?

For individuals who hold a relevant qualifications or equivalent qualifying experience. You might be someone who has finished university or a technical qualification and is starting out in the environmental sciences sector or someone later in their career but whose job is only partially environmental science.

Is it for me?

Associate membership is a professional designation so confers that you have reached a certain standard within your career. As an Associate Member you will receive our journal four times a year and our monthly e-newsletter. You will have exclusive access to the Members area on our website, with news, jobs and events. We will support your career goals by helping you with CPD and training and creating networking opportunities and supporting you making the right career decisions. The IES has a mentoring scheme and several early careers networks to help you build a fufilling and successful career in the environmental sciences. 

What's next for my career?

You will have begun a journey on an environmental career path which could take you to Chartered status.
