Join us for our 2020 virtual Annual General Meeting and take advantage of the opportunity to hear about the IAQM's strategic direction and activities in 2021, meet your new Committee members and network with fellow air quality professionals. In response to current COVID-19 restrictions this AGM will be held online.
The AGM will be followed by a keynote speech from invited external expert Dr Stuart Capstick. He will be discussing the public understanding and risk perception of climate change and air pollution, the relevance of behaviours and everyday practices for tackling climate change and air quality issues and the lessons that can be learnt from the sudden behaviour changes that occurred as a result of the pandemic.
About the speaker
Stuart Capstick is Deputy Director of the Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformation (CAST Centre), based at Cardiff University. Stuart's research interest is public understanding of climate change and ways to engage people with the transformations needed to achieve emissions reduction. He is leading work looking at how the social sciences can contribute to more radical emissions reduction through behaviour and lifestyle change. This includes identifying, designing and trialling approaches to bring about change at all levels from the household to the national level.
