IES Forum: Supporting managers through the uncertainty of lifting lockdown

Tuesday, 11 August 2020 - 2:00pm to 3:30pm
Online

This is the third of a series of online forums where we invite professionals to join us in discussion over topical challenges and developments from across the environmental sector.

As lockdown begins to ease and many sectors start to return to work, we want to share practices, new approaches and experience in promoting team cohesion, assuaging staff concerns and managing mental health. This forum will explore examples of best practice in handling conversations around new operations, team morale and job security.

Our speakers will explore approaches that can be applied in different working environments, managing expectations and addressing concerns that may arise.

Speakers

  • Kate Cooper, Head of Research, Policy and Standards at Institute of Leadership and Management - Homeworking: Trials and Triumphs
  • Tom Oxley, Workplace Director at Bamboo Mental Health
  • Marion Hewitt, Coach and Trainer at Protea Solutions - Supporting mental wellbeing through times of change

Hear from professionals working in HR, Education and Mental Health discussing best practice on returning to work and lessons learnt so far. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, helping to address the uncertainty surrounding current best practice.

This event is free for professional IES members to attend, non-members are welcome to attend for a small fee of £25. A member of the IES team will contact you to organise payment.
