North East Region: Air Pollution & Personal Exposure Monitoring

The North East IES Regional Group presents a seminar on Air Pollution and Personal Exposure Monitoring. 

Speaker Dr Anil Namdeo will be talking about cyclists' exposure to air pollution and his experience of monitoring personal exposure in Mumbai, Jakarta, Tanzania and Newcastle.

Dr Anil Namdeo is a Chartered Environmentalist, a Chartered Scientist and a Senior Lecturer in Transport and Sustainability at Newcastle University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society and a member of several professional bodies including Institution of Environmental Sciences and Institute for Air Quality Management. He leads the MSc in Transport and the Environment at the School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Newcastle University that includes a dedicated module on air pollution (accredited by IAQM) and two CPD courses on air quality and health. He has been actively engaged in international research and has close links with academics and researchers in India, China and USA.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 13:30 with presentations commencing at 14:00. There will be time for  Q&As at the end of the talk.
