In this webinar, Neil Burke will discuss the role of nuclear technologies, available and in development, to meet net zero and how nuclear can work alongside other low carbon technologies to provide a reliable, secure and resilient energy system.  


Our speaker

Neil Burke is an expert in delivering environmental permissions applications for large scale developments for the UK and overseas, across sectors including conventional power, renewables, nuclear new build and nuclear decommissioning, as well as a wide range of heavy industries and manufacturing.  

He is currently the Senior Planning & Consents Manager for Bradwell B, the proposed new nuclear power station in Essex. He is responsible for ensuring all planning and environmental requirements are met in the development of the project. This involves working closely with statutory parties and the local communities to understand the potential impacts on people and wildlife and developing mitigation for these.

Prior to working at Bradwell B, Neil was the Head of Planning, Consents and Permits for Horizon Nuclear Power for their Wylfa project.
