SocEnv Awards & Lecture: Biodiversity Net Gain

Tuesday, 4 June 2019 - 2:00pm to 7:30pm
Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, London

Celebrate the work of environmental professionals, network with current and aspiring Chartered Environmentalists (CEnv) and Registered Environmental Technicians (REnvTech), meet representatives from our Licensed Bodies, learn from insightful expert lectures and discover how to register as a CEnv or REnvTech - all on the eve of World Environment Day 2019. Plus, it's our 15 year anniversary!

World Environment Day celebrates and promotes environmental awareness and sustainability across the globe – a United Nations initiative held annually on the 5th June. The Society for the Environment champions World Environment Day and what it stands for. It has highlighted important global issues since its beginning in 1974 including climate change, marine pollution and wildlife crime.

The Society will be showcasing World Environment Day with an expert led event and a delegate list from across our 25 Licensed Professional Bodies that span a wide range of sectors.

The 2019 event will include the Society’s annual presentation of the Environmental Professional of the Year Award – recognising the outstanding work of Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) registrants. This prestigious award will contribute to an evening of celebrating and showcasing the achievements of those striving to protect and enhance the environment on a daily basis.

Alongside the awards will be a series of Expert Lectures on the chosen topic of "Net Gain", which we will provide links to the recently announced global UN Environment theme of "Air Pollution". A fantastic learning opportunity for delegates, alongside the chance to network with leading experts during refreshment breaks.

For the aspiring CEnv and REnvTech, this is ;the event for networking with current registrants and for discussing the registrations and application process with the Society for the Environment team at our dedicated CEnv / REnvTech information stand.
