The IES is supporting shortened applications for apprentices to become Registered Environmental Practitioners (REnvP) after studying the Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship.
The Society for the Environment and its member organisations have created a shortened application route to becoming professionally registered for apprentices, depending on the apprenticeship which has been undertaken. You can explore more about this work and the other programmes suitable for registration on the Society for the Environment website.
How to apply
You can apply for Registered Environmental Practitioner if you are an Associate member of the IES and have graduated from the Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship.
Once you are a member of the IES, please send your apprenticeship certificate and registration payment to the IES Office and we will sort the rest! You do not need to complete the REnvP application, report or interview process.
Cost
To become a Registered Environmental Practitioner we ask for an registration fee in your first year and an annual subscription fee in subsequent years to retain your registration. The registration fee is £45 when applying for REnvP through the shortened route. This is to cover the license fee and adminstrative costs.
What is professional registration?
The Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) designation is a title which recognises the level of professional practice of people operating within the environmental sciences. It signifies a standard of environmental expertise, practice, and skills held by professionals spanning the breadth of academia, government, industry, consultancy, and other public and private sectors.
