Entries to the 2013 Ian McCrae Travel Award should be submitted before the 1st November. The annual award of up to £1000 is open to early career professionals to attend an air quality conference or training course in the UK or abroad. The prize money can be put towards the cost of the conference fee, travel to the conference and accommodation. This grant was established by the IAQM to support the professional development of air quality professionals.
The Award also acts as a memorial to the life and word of Dr Ian McCrae, who was an internationally-respected air quality scientist and and was active on the IAQM Committee.
The Award is open to Full and Associate Members of the IAQM in their early career (circa first ten years). There is no age limit. Preference will be given to those that are presenting at a conference.
The grant can only be used for attending a conference or training course in the 12 months following the decision regarding the winner of the Award (i.e. from the 31st October). The grant can only be used to cover conference/course entry, travel costs and accommodation. The £1000 can be split between multiple candidates, with the proportion of the grant going to each candidate being at the IAQM Committee’s discretion.
Further details can be found on the Awards Page.
