IES CEO elected ENEP Vice President

Adam Donnan, the IES CEO, has been elected as the new Vice President of the European Network of Environmental Professionals (ENEP).

At a meeting in Rome on 18th October the General Assembly of the ENEP elected Adam for the next four years, along with a new President, Kristof de Smet.

ENEP was set up in 2002 and seeks to unite, through the national environment federations over 45,000 environmental experts from all over Europe working in academia, industry, government and NGOs. The IES has been a member of ENEP since 2007.

Adam says "The IES journal earlier this year assessing EU legislation underlines how important Europe is for environmental professionals. ENEP is an organisation with a great deal of potential, which so far largely remains unfulfilled. I will be working closely with the other members of the Executive Committee on an ambitious programme of events and services that will increase the network's visibility and deliver greater benefits for IES members and other environmental professionals throughout Europe."
