Meet the speakers
Dr Lesley Batty (PFHEA), Reader in Ecological Education, University of Birmingham
Lesley Batty is a Reader in Ecological Education in Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham and a Principal Fellow of the HEA. She is an educational innovator and developer and has particular interests in fieldwork, employability and inclusivity with several papers in these areas and a forthcoming book on Fieldwork teaching in GEES. She is currently exploring the potential impacts, both positive and negative, of AI on employability skills and fieldwork teaching. When not developing her teaching, you can find her exploring and researching abandoned industrial sites where she works on developing ecological solutions to contaminated land and water.
Mohammed Habboub, Data Science Lead at Ramboll
Mohammed is passionate about harnessing the power of Data and AI to solve complex problems and drive innovation in the engineering and consultancy fields. With expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Genetic Algorithms, and Geospatial Data Analysis, Mohammed excels in transforming data into actionable insights. Additionally, Mohammed is skilled in Data Visualization and Dashboarding with Power BI, enabling effective communication of findings and strategies.
Please note: The CEDHE AGM (CEDHE Institutional members only) will be held between 09:30 and 10:00am, and will be followed by the CEDHE Forum (members and non-members welcome) from 10:00am to 3:15pm. Registration for this event will be for both the AGM and Forum, consider amending the calendar invite to start at 10am if you are not a CEDHE Institutional member or if you only wish to attend the Forum.
