Introduction to Rem Soc

RemSoc is the only UK society dedicated to the remediation of contaminated and brownfield land.

The society has been established by a group of professionals and practitioners, all working in the remediation sector. This group consists of consultants and contractors who have a broad knowledge and significant experience of the industry, the market, and clients that we are serving.

RemSoc is independent of other professional organisations, bodies and industry groups but aims to collaborate with other like minded groups as opportunities present themselves. Membership is not exclusive and is open to all those directly involved in remediation activities who share our values. The idea has been proposed many times but after a discussion around best practice, safety, standards and development of early career professionals, the current committee rallied to get the project off the ground. Interests are represented within the organising committee from contracting, consulting, equipment supply and clients in order to establish a well balanced and non biased society.

The event is free to attend and open exclusively to IES and/or RemSoc members.
