The Role:

We currently have an opportunity for an Air Quality Consultant to join our Environmental teams based in Peterborough, Manchester or Birmingham.  We require someone who can proactively contribute to our in-house technical work, ensuring that it is of the quality expected and required by our internal and external clients.

You will have a technical background in science or environmental science with at least 2 years’ experience within an environmental consultancy. You will be able to demonstrate experience in predictive dispersion modelling techniques and air quality assessment, with knowledge of Air Quality legislation, guidance and practice.

The role requires a close working relationship with other air quality, noise, land quality, water and waste management specialists, and the provision of air quality support and advice across the business. In particular, the role requires the Consultant to be able to:

  • develop commercial and project management skills to ensure effective execution and delivery of air quality projects and the air quality elements of multi-disciplinary projects through planning and post-consent/delivery phases; and
  • support the development of our air quality delivery within the UK and support the development of new clients in key strategic markets.

The successful candidate will undertake air quality work within the context of EIA/ESIA and Environmental Permitting as well as more standalone air quality projects. Project involvement typically includes renewables and waste to energy projects, flood alleviation schemes, mixed use development schemes, as well as industrial sites.

Willingness to contribute to multi-disciplinary teams will be key to the successful execution of the role.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary plus a range of benefits including a contributory pension scheme, discretionary company bonus, Medical and Dental care, Life Insurance, 25 days holiday and a flexible working policy.   Our contributory pension scheme has been awarded the Pension Quality Mark, the highest standard of excellence available for UK company pension schemes.
