ACCON UK is one of the UK’s leading niche environmental consultancies, specialising in air quality, noise, vibration, lighting, flood risk, contaminated land and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). They have an opportunity for an Air Quality Consultant based in Reading (Aldermaston).

The successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to contribute to a variety of air quality assessments. Day-to-day responsibilities will include preparation of fee proposals for air quality assessments; completion of air quality assessments; dispersion modelling using ADMS Road, Breeze Roads, AERMOD and similar software packages; and writing client reports.

Candidates will have a relevant degree or experience (e.g. Environmental Management and Environmental Science), along with membership/associate membership of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and Institute of Environmental Science (IES). Having one to two years’ of proven consultancy experience, candidates should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of methodologies for the assessment of roads, industry and dust emissions including air quality neutral assessments. A solid working knowledge of Breeze Roads and/or ADMS software is essential and knowledge of AERMOD software (or similar) is preferable.

The candidate should have good writing skills and the ability to work independently.
