We are looking for a proactive, highly-driven and adaptable air quality specialist with experience in environmental consultancy to join our existing, successful air quality team.  You will have accumulated a comprehensive understanding across many project and sector types and have a proven track record of successful delivery and positive client outcomes.  The project workload is varied and includes: Environmental Permitting work; EIA component studies; odour assessments; technical review; and assessment work as well as ambient air quality monitoring studies.  We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience of major transport infrastructure developments and a strong relationship with the Highways Agency.

 Your role will involve:

  • Undertaking technical air quality assessment work (including odour) for a variety of different projects, requiring expert knowledge of ADMS and ADMS Roads in particular;
  • Providing technical review and critique of outputs and working methods;
  • Undertaking business development to raise the profile of WSP’s Air Quality Team both in house and externally;
  • Mentoring and providing developmental guidance to ensure continued technical excellence; and
  • For more experienced candidates there is potential for the role to include active participation in the development and execution of business development strategies.

The project work will be varied covering a range of sectors including: highways schemes; residential, commercial, retail and industrial development; renewable energy; waste; power generation; etc.  This work is not only undertaken for projects in the UK but for projects overseas too, providing real diversity in workload, challenges and opportunities.

Expert witness experience is desirable.
