A bit about us:

Established in 2015, we are a small environmental consultancy based in Nottinghamshire. We work across the UK with a diverse range of clients to address their specific needs to ensure environmental regulatory compliance. Our customers are based in various industrial sectors including waste, minerals, manufacturing and utilities.
Our main focus is in industrial environmental regulation and compliance. Therefore, much of your work will involve environmental permitting, environmental risk assessment, environmental management and supporting in the development and implementation of environmental controls.
We are engaged by clients over the long term. A typical relationship may start with an environmental permit application and then extends to: development of management systems; regulatory compliance advice and guidance; ongoing environmental management; and specific project support in, for example, the development of emissions control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing environmental permit applications including technical assessments and report writing, environmental risk assessment and development of management plans;
  • Providing environmental regulatory compliance advice and guidance;
  • Supporting clients with environmental management and systems development;
  • Meeting attendance - with clients, regulators, and service providers alike;
  • Technical report writing, and
  • Site visits – inspections, audits, appraisal as part of environmental management.

Additional:

  • Preparation of quotes, project management and project monitoring;
  • Supporting with the development of internal company processes and systems, and
  • Attending relevant conferences and events.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental management / consultancy preferably working with industrial clients;
  • Degree / equivalent in Environmental Management / Environmental Management related subject;
  • Membership of relevant professional institute;
  • Possess a good understanding of and ability to learn relevant legislation and to interpret how this relates to projects and clients;
  • Experience in: environmental permitting; environmental compliance issues; environmental management; environmental audits/site inspections; analysis and interpretation of environmental data;
  • Though not essential, a desirable skill is air dispersion modelling and this would add a new but complimentary element to our business;
  • Experience in the following sectors preferred: waste management; manufacturing; minerals; utilities;
  • Excellent literacy and numerical skills;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Good organisational and time management skills, and
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
