Ensafe is the UK’s leading fully independent (UKAS accredited) asbestos, health, safety and environmental consultancy. They have a vacancy in their long established air quality team for a Senior or Principal Consultant who can show a broad technical skill set and who will thrive on the opportunity to grow the business.

The Role 

To lead and direct technical teams to deliver sustainable growth, profitability and quality projects to clients on time and within agreed budgets in line with the Ensafe business strategy, IMS, and all related commercial objectives and practice.

Main Duties: 

  • Delivery and management of air quality projects to ensure that they are issued on time, to the desired quality and standard and within budget
  • Providing technical direction, support and training to the team on a variety of air quality and odour projects
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures as set out in the Integrated Management Systems and to work in line with and promote the company’s vision and values
  • Additional responsibilities in line with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental objectives noted on the addendum
  • Use of dispersion model and GIS to inform assessments and present information
  • Use mapping technologies like GIS to help map the spread of air pollution
  • Data analysis and interpretation of data found from desk or field studies, interpret the findings and compile them into factual reports
  • Spearhead multiple projects to completion, working and communicating with colleagues, clients, environmental regulators and more to meet deadlines
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships in order to retain clients’ business
  • Aid with financial reporting, invoicing and forecasting for the team

Qualifications/Role Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of discipline (minimum 5 years)
  • Detailed knowledge of air quality modelling software and GIS
  • Knowledge of market conditions, opportunities, and competition
  • Sound understanding of client base
  • Team leadership
  • High-level influencing and negotiation skills
  • Proven commercial awareness
  • Robust project and programme management capability
  • Adept at coaching and mentoring team members and guiding their career development
