ERM are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant within their UK based air quality team. The team specialise in industrial projects working in highly diverse sectors including oil and gas, heavy industry, mining, power, manufacturing and the transport sector. From the UK projects are supported across a third of the globe including the UK, Europe, the Near and Middle East, North and Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Caspian Region.
ERM are seeking a candidate with a basis in industrial air quality. A good understanding of dispersion modelling (ADMS, Aermod or Calpuff) and the manipulation of model inputs and outputs is essential. In addition, experience in undertaking ambient air quality monitoring and working within the framework of Environmental Impact Assessment is desirable. A working knowledge of traffic emission impact assessments in line with current Defra guidance would also be beneficial.
The role will necessitate occasional travel in support of projects throughout the geographical remit of the UK–based team. This travel is often to remote locations with little existing infrastructure. Whilst Health and Safety is paramount, travelling and working in such environments can be as challenging as it is exciting.
The UK based air quality team is a small team working alongside the wider European and Global teams. ERM has seven UK offices (Aberdeen, Bristol, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Oxford and Swansea), and Dublin, Ireland, and would consider employing in any of these locations. However, there is a preference for Swansea as this is the focus of the current team, or Oxford. Candidates must hold a full driving licence.
