Phlorum is a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy, specialising in Japanese knotweed removal, Air Quality Assessments and Ecology. 

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced or Senior air quality consultant to work within our Air Quality team. We are an agile and progressive company and are open to people working from home (almost anywhere), on flexible hours and look to develop and support our staff with interesting and varied projects of all scales.

We like to develop consultants along their career pathway through the wide range of UK and overseas projects and so we are looking for an experienced consultant to take ownership and deliver these varied projects, as well as provide support and mentoring to develop our in-house consultants.

We are looking for an experienced consultant with approx. 4 years’ experience in:

• industrial, commercial and residential development assessments
• habitats/ecological assessments and odour assessments
• LAQM experience
• monitoring surveys, and
• project management

The candidate ideally should be:

• Degree qualified
• Member of IAQM and IES
• Experienced with ADMS, ADMS 5, AERMOD (optional) • Experienced with GIS platforms
• Willing to work flexibly to tight timescales
• Excellent training and staff mentoring skills
• Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
• Excellent organisational skills
• A full driving licence (non-essential but useful)

We work with clients in the UK and overseas to help them deliver developments (large and small), support local authorities with the LAQM requirements, undertake surveys as well as provide expert advice and witness services. Thus, we are looking for candidates with experience in undertaking and delivering varied projects, with the role covering project management, dispersion modelling, air quality monitoring, report writing, reviews and mentoring.
