Last chance to book tickets for Burntwood 2013

Time is running out to get your free ticket to the Burntwood Lecture 2013.

This year's lecture will take place on Thursday November 21st at the Museum of London Docklands and features one of the most important voices in climatology, Professor Julia Slingo

Julia, whose talk is entitled Climate models: the greatest feat of modern science, has had a long-term career in climate modelling and research, working at the Met Office, ECMWF and NCAR in the USA. Her personal research addresses problems in tropical climate variability - its influence on the global climate; its role in seasonal to decadal climate prediction; and its response to climate change.

Attendance is free for IES Members and invited guests, but places are limited. If you would like to reserve tickets, please contact Ruth Bowyer. Each member can bring along a guest. As usual there will be food and refreshments and plenty of opportunity to network with members and IES staff. We anticipate a lot of interest for this fabulous speaker, so book early to avoid disappointment.

The Lecture is taking place Thursday 21st November at the Museum of London Docklands.
