ACCON UK Limited are currently seeking a Junior Air Quality Consultant and/or Air Quality Consultant to join their air quality team in the UK. Working in the Reading Office, the successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to contribute to a variety of air quality assessments. Day-to- day responsibilities will include preparation of fee proposals for air quality assessments; completion of air quality assessments; dispersion modelling using ADMS Road, Breeze Roads, AERMOD and similar software packages; and writing client reports.

Candidates will have a relevant degree (e.g. Environmental Management and Environmental Science), along with membership of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and Institution of Environmental Science (IES). Having one to two years’ of proven consultancy experience, candidates should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of methodologies for the assessment of roads, industry and dust emissions including air quality neutral assessments. A solid working knowledge of ADMS Road and/or Breeze Roads software is essential and knowledge of AERMOD software (or similar) is preferable. Knowledge of other areas of environmental consultancy (e.g. noise, flood risk, contaminated land, daylight/sunlight) would be beneficial.

The successful candidate should have good writing skills and the ability to work independently. A full driving license is essential.
