IES Webinar: Climate Resilience in Consultancy

Thursday, 15 March 2018 - 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Online

With global temperatures rising, acute weather events are presenting a fundamental challenge to societies and businesses around the world. Climate change poses an increasing threat to global social and economic infrastructure. Climate resilience is the capacity of a system to absorb the stresses imposed by climate variability, allowing systems to evolve into a more robust state that are able to better withstand these threats.

In this webinar David Viner, Global Practice Leader at Mott MacDonald, will give a 30-minute introduction to climate resilience in consultancy, with an element of career retrospective. Anna Tuddenham from the climate resilience team will present alongside David providing an early career professional’s perspective which will include reference to project work and case studies.

This webinar will provide an introduction to the topic of climate resilience, an overview of what it is like to work in the sector and the latest developments in this rapidly-developing field.
