With support from the Gatsby Foundation, the Science Council is about to commence a four-year programme of activity to develop and deliver enhanced support for technicians in science, especially those early in their career. An experienced individual is sought to lead this programme.
Working closely with professional bodies who are Members of the Science Council, the post holder will form and lead a team, to deliver a range of activities to help individuals with their development and recognition as a technician, and with employers and educators, raise the profile of technical education.
This role can be part time (minimum of 28 hours per week) or full time. The Science Council is committed to equal opportunities and values diversity in its workforce. We support flexible working and are open to considering job share arrangements.
The management of projects, people and change to ensure delivery are core to this role, as is the ability to work creatively with other organisations on a wider variety of activities. You may have first-hand experience of the national apprentice and T Level programme, or at least a good understanding of it.
Interviews will take Friday 20th September 2019 in central London.
