This Climate Action Community & EPIC webinar will explore the findings of a recent project undertaken by ABPmer for the Office for Environmental Protection, which was to review of the effects of underwater noise on the achievement of Good Environmental Status (GES).
The impacts of underwater noise on marine sensitive species will be explored alongside a review of current and future trends of noise (which no doubt involves expanding offshore wind!). Recommendations will be made as to how underwater noise can be better managed across the UK to achieve GES. Finally, examples of innovative mitigation techniques will be explored, before the floor opens up for questions.
This event is free and open for all to attend.
