This guide presents the current situation regarding parental leave and the statutory requirements for employers and acts as a best practice guide. The report provides recommendations for employers supporting their employees during the important time of being an expectant or new parent. It provides guidance for employers on how to go beyond the minimum requirements for supporting male and female employees taking parental leave. Guidance is targeted specifically to environmental sector employers.
The guide also presents data collected from the most recent IES membership survey on parental leave among the IES members.
