CHES Annual conference: The value of an environmental science education

Tuesday, 21 May 2019 - 10:15am to 4:30pm
University of the West of England, Bristol

Save the date for this year's annual conference

Join us as we explore the value of an environmental science education.

What experience do students have of environmental science at each stage of their education, and how can we motivate the next generation to aspire to a career in the environment?

Our range of speakers will discuss students' journeys from primary education all the way through to their professions, analysing possible opportunities to increase engagement with this sector.

Thinking about accreditation?
An accreditation workshop will be held the evening before the event on the 20th May from 18:30. Members of the executive committee will be on hand to support you with accreditation applications for new programmes, revised programmes, and CHES membership.

Confirmed Speakers

  • The value of the Environmental Science A-Level - Richard Genn (Teacher at Peter Symonds College)
  • The importance of inclusion in environmental education - Piers Wilkinson, CEO at Ramping Up Ltd
  • Embedding the SDGs into Higher Education - Dr Georgina Gough, UWE

Save the date, join this debate. More details soon.

Bookings will open soon for both the annual conference and accreditation workshop
