This can include monitoring, modelling, assessing, reporting, and taking measures to improve air quality. This involves understanding the pollutants and emissions that impact air quality, with the aim of protecting human and environmental health.
The IES is the home of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM), the professional body for air quality professionals.
Your air quality professional body
The IAQM is led by an elected Committee and has its own competency-based membership grades and tailored CPD opportunities, supporting expertise and excellence in the field.
Through the IAQM, air quality professionals develop the industry standard technical guidance, champion professionalism in the field, and collaborate with other IES communities on cross-cutting topics.
