Bea Gilbert

Publications Lead
Bea leads the development, production and delivery of key IES publications, including the journal, and acts as the guardian of the IES family of brands. She has an MSc in Climate Change from King's College London and is particularly interested in intertidal ecosystems. She has experience in a range of charities and public-sector organisations, including previous roles in environmental research and children's rights.

Lucy Rowland

Publications Officer
Lucy Rowland supports the development and production of IES publications, including the journal environmental SCIENTIST. Before joining the IES, Lucy worked as a content writer in the environmental jobs sector, and in the School of English at the University of Leeds, where she taught undergraduate students, contributed to a range of nature writing public engagement projects, and completed a PhD in contemporary women's fiction and the climate crisis.
